Last Saturday I went to the Members Show opening reception at the North River Arts Society. It’s a wonderful annual show of the NRAS members that is juried by invited professional artist. This year I was honored to be among award winners.
I would like to say huge thank you to our juror Hillary Osborn, whose work I personally admire, for awarding my oil painting “Tea Cup and Fruits” with one of the top awards, Phyllis Howard Award for Floral Composition, in the North River Arts Society (NRAS) Members show. This year there are 135 paintings in this show and I feel honored to be selected as an award winner out of so many wonderful artists. I really love the comments I received from the juror as well who, while judging the show, said that I have a good sense of color. I also have been told that she loved my BLUE in the background and to be honest it makes me feel happy to know there are artists who can appreciate mixed colors and tones. Thank you again. I feel grateful! This is my 1st Award from the North River Arts Society where I’ve been a long time member. Opening reception was last Saturday from 7 to 10 pm. Show will be on display at the GAR Hall, located at 157 Old Main Street, in Marshfield Hills, MA.
